SUMMARY:Our Daily Bread
DESCRIPTION:Enthusiastic and curious individuals can join the Field of Enquiry team\, for single workshops or for the series. Find out more and register. \nPlease note: applications close on 19 September 2016. \nWhen you divide all the arable land on our planet by the number of people living on the earth\, we each have 2000m2. This Field of Enquiry series of workshops\, organised by Whitmuir Community Farm project\, will explore the food system through the lens of that 2000m2. \nOver ten Saturdays\, topic by topic\, the Filed of Enquiry team will examine the current state of affairs\, make sense of the pressures on the system and frame the questions we should ask our scientists\, farmers and politicians to answer if we are to do things differently. \nThe third day of the series will take bread as its vehicle for discovery\, examine the role of wheat in our food story…and explore the role of bread as a community organising force for change. \nOur guides for the day will be Andrew Whitley and Veronica Burke\, Directors of Scotland the Bread\, with guests\, including the High Rise community bakers from Glasgow. \nSee the full ten day programme and details of how to apply.
